The fully automatic indexing chuck is generally composed of chuck body, movable jaw and jaw driving mechanism. The minimum diameter of the fully automatic indexing chuck body is 65mm and the maximum can be 1500mm. There is a through hole in the center to pass through the workpiece or bar; The back has a cylindrical or short conical structure, which is connected with the end of the machine tool spindle directly or through a flange. Chuck is usually installed on lathe, cylindrical grinder and internal grinder. It can also be matched with various indexing devices for milling machine and drilling machine. 1. In order to ensure that the automatic indexing chuck of the lathe still has good accuracy after being used for a long time, lubrication is very important. Incorrect or inappropriate lubrication will lead to some problems, such as abnormal function at low pressure, weakening clamping force, poor clamping accuracy, abnormal wear and jamming, so the chuck must be lubricated correctly.
2. Apply molybdenum disulfide grease (black color) at least once a day, and drive the grease into the chuck nozzle until the grease overflows the clamping jaw surface or the chuck inner hole (inner hole protective sleeve and connecting nut). However, if the chuck rotates highly or a large amount of water-based cutting oil needs more lubrication during processing and use, it must be determined according to different conditions.
3. At the end of operation, be sure to clean the chuck body and slide surface with wind Qiang or similar tools.
4. Disassemble and clean the chuck at least every 6 months to keep the sliding surface of the clamping jaw clean and lubricated, so as to increase the service life of the chuck. However, if the cast iron is cut, it shall be thoroughly cleaned at least once or more every two months to check whether all parts are broken and worn. If it is serious, it shall be replaced with a new one immediately. After the inspection, the oil shall be fully supplied before assembly.
5. For different workpieces, different clamping methods must be used or special fixtures must be selected. Three jaw chuck is only a universal holding fixture. If you reluctantly use it to clamp irregular or strange workpieces, the chuck will be damaged! If the chuck pressure is abnormal, the chuck will be under high pressure, or the chuck will clamp the workpiece after the machine is shut down, which will reduce the service life of the chuck! Therefore, when you find that the chuck clearance is too large, you must immediately replace it with a new chuck.
6. The use of cutting oil with anti rust effect can prevent the internal rust of the chuck, because the rust of the chuck will reduce the clamping force and cannot clamp the workpiece.
